The Friendly Ghost of Willow Woods
On Halloween night, three friends—Lily, Max, and Ben—decided to visit Willow Woods, known for its beautiful but slightly spooky trees. They had heard stories about a friendly ghost who only appeared on Halloween, and they wanted to see if it was true!
As they made their way through the woods with flashlights, they noticed little lights flickering here and there. They stopped, looking around nervously. Then, with a whoosh, a soft, glowing figure floated down from a tree!
“Hello there!” said the ghost, smiling warmly. “I’m Willow, the friendly ghost of these woods! I only come out once a year on Halloween to help lost trick-or-treaters find their way home.”
The kids were amazed. Willow wasn’t scary at all! She wore a sparkling hat and had a friendly face that glowed like a lantern.
“Would you like to see some Halloween magic?” Willow asked.
The kids nodded excitedly. Willow waved her ghostly hands, and suddenly, leaves started to twirl in a whirlwind, forming shapes of cats, pumpkins, and bats! The leaves sparkled as they danced in the air, glowing orange and purple.
Lily, Max, and Ben clapped with joy, and Willow gave a little bow.
Before they knew it, the clock struck midnight, and Willow began to fade. “It’s time for me to rest until next Halloween,” she said with a wink. “Come visit me again next year, and I’ll show you even more magic!”
The kids waved goodbye, promising to return. As they walked home, they couldn’t stop talking about the magical friend they’d made that Halloween night.
From then on, every Halloween became their favorite night of the year, thanks to Willow, the friendly ghost of Willow Woods!
I hope you’ll enjoy this magical story. Autumn is a special time of year when the evenings are longer and it gets darker earlier, making it the perfect time to gather and share not-so-scary stories.
