December is coming
December is coming. It is approaching with cold weather, festive spirit and the smell of the pine.
December is considered a special month for various reasons.
First of all; winter solstice – the shortest day and the longest night ; It is the 21st-22nd of December.
Secondly; different holidays like Christmas, Hanukkah or Kwanzaa.
Christmas is celebrated on December 25th and it is a day when Jesus Christ was born.
The last day of December, New Year’s Eve is celebrated around the world. People say goodbye to the old year and welcome the new one.
The beginning of December, especially the 6th is special for every child. They are waiting for Santa Claus. Almost every evening they sit at the windows gazing at the sky, hoping to catch the glimpse of reindeer and the Santa’s magical sleigh.
Meanwhile at the North Pole, in the heart of Arctic, Santa Clause and his elves work in a special place. It is here where the legend of Santa Clause came to life. The jolly old man with a white beard lives in a small workshop surrounded by evergreen and snowy wilderness. His place is filled with laughter and happiness. Every year the workshop hums with activity as elves craft toys and gifts with care. As the magical night approaches they wrap and tag all the presents. When everything is ready they load presents to the sleigh.
Outside the workshop Santa’s reindeer usually wait patiently. His loyal companion Dasher, Dancer, Prancer, Vixen, Comet, Cupid, Donner, Blitzen and of course Rudolph will carry heavy sleigh through the night sky. The presents for every boy and every girl.
With a happy ho,ho,ho Santa takes his place in the sleigh. The reindeer take flight and their hooves live a trail of sparkling snowflakes. Rudolph’s shiny nose glow when they navigate the night sky. The stars twinkle as they deliver joy, wonder and happiness to every house and every child.
Magic is in the air.
The 6Th of December is coming. Above the fireplace hang colorful stockings waiting to be filled with surprises. Among the constellatons one star shines brighter than the others. It’s time. When you listen carefully you could almost hear the jingling of the bells. I love this time of the year. It brings to homes and hearts love and warmth and the timeless magic.
Have a nice holiday season. Enjoy this special month.
